Breeding Pairs

Create and manage breeding pairs, track offspring, and organize your breeding program.

Creating Breeding Pairs

Click the "Add Breeding Pair" button to create a new breeding pair. You will see a simple form where you select the father (cock) and mother (hen).
You can choose pigeons that already exist in your collection. Simply start typing the ring number or name, and matching pigeons will appear in a list for you to select.
If the pigeon you need is not yet in your collection, you do not have to leave the form. Click the "Add New Pigeon" button next to the search field, and you can create a new pigeon right there. After saving, it will automatically be selected for your breeding pair.
Give your pair a name (for example "Box 1" or "Champion Line") and optionally assign a breeding box code for easy identification in your loft.
Creating Breeding Pairs

Managing Pairs

View all your breeding pairs in one place. Filter by search, archive pairs you no longer use, and quickly access pair details.

Adding Offspring

Add offspring to a breeding pair to automatically set parent relationships. Search for existing pigeons or create new ones directly.
Adding offspring through breeding pairs automatically creates the parent-child relationships in pedigrees.

Archiving Pairs

Archive breeding pairs that are no longer active. Archived pairs are hidden from the main list but can be restored anytime.

Sharing Your Breeding Pair

You can share your breeding pair with anyone by creating a public link. This is useful when you want to show your breeding program to potential buyers, other fanciers, or share on social media.
When you share a breeding pair, other people can view the parents, their pedigrees, and any publicly shared offspring. They do not need to have an account to view your shared breeding pair.
Your personal information remains private. Only the information you choose to display will be visible to others.
Sharing Your Breeding Pair

How to Share a Breeding Pair

Open the breeding pair you want to share by clicking on its name or the "Detail" button.
On the breeding pair detail page, look for the "Enable Public Sharing" button. Click this button to create your public link.
Once sharing is enabled, you will see a special web address (URL). You can copy this link and send it to anyone via email, WhatsApp, Facebook, or any other way you prefer.
The green "Public" badge on your breeding pair card shows that the pair is currently shared.

What Others Can See

When someone opens your shared breeding pair link, they will see:
  • The name of the breeding pair (or the ring numbers of both parents)
  • Photos of the father (sire) and mother (dam)
  • The complete pedigree tree of both parents (up to 5 generations)
  • The expected pedigree of their offspring
  • Any offspring that you have also made public
  • Your contact information (only if you have set it up in your fancier settings)
  • Breeding box code and notes (if you have added them)
What Others Can See

What Stays Private

Your privacy is important to us. The following information is always hidden from public view:
  • Your account details (email, password)
  • Offspring that you have not shared publicly
  • Other breeding pairs that you have not shared
  • Other pigeons in your collection that you have not shared
  • Your private notes and internal breeding records

Your Privacy and Security

Each shared breeding pair gets a unique, random link that cannot be guessed. People can access your breeding pair through this link, or they may discover it on the Discover page or your public fancier profile (if enabled).
You can turn off sharing at any time. Simply go back to the breeding pair detail and click "Disable Sharing". The link will immediately stop working and no one will be able to view your breeding pair anymore.
If you want to share your breeding pair with different people and later revoke access for some of them, you can disable sharing and then enable it again. This will create a new link, and the old link will no longer work.

How to Stop Sharing

If you change your mind and want to make your breeding pair private again, it is very easy:
Go to your breeding pair detail page and click the "Disable Sharing" button. The public link will stop working immediately.
You can enable sharing again later if you want. A new link will be created.

Showing Offspring

When viewing a public breeding pair, visitors can also see the offspring of that pair, but only if you have made those offspring public as well.
To show offspring on your public breeding pair page, you need to share each offspring pigeon individually from their pedigree page.
This gives you full control over which offspring are visible and which ones remain private.
You can share a breeding pair without sharing your fancier profile. The breeding pair will be accessible through its unique link, but will not appear in public listings unless your profile is also public.

Where Shared Pairs Appear

If your fancier profile is public, your shared breeding pairs will also appear on your public profile page for visitors to browse.
Newly shared breeding pairs may also appear on the "Discover" page, where other fanciers can find interesting breeding programs.
If you do not want your breeding pairs to appear in public listings, keep your fancier profile private. You can still share individual breeding pairs through their unique links.
